For some people, being a celebrity is a dream. The reason is, they must be famous yet rich. Celebrities usually have high income. Especially if they mastered many field at once. Then, approximately who's the celebrity with highest income this year?
Young, beautiful, talented, famous and pretty, that's how BoA has been known. All because her success in the music world that has been her path since she's 11 years old, now a Singapore media claimed that she's the highest income-Korean celebrity. BoA recieved more than 40 million US dollars from the sales of her albums concerts, and adverts/commercials. That number passed the income of the King of Hallyu, Bae Yong Jun, which is less than 10 million US dolalrs. Even the value of Lee Hyori's contract with Samsung is 9 billion Won only. Whereas, Lee Hyori's management, M-Net Media, said that its the most expensive value for the contract for one year span. "This is the third year Lee Hyori is doing a contract with Samsung, and Hyori has just extended the most expensive contract for one year with Samsung Electronic," they said. Beside from those two celebrities' income, BoA's income is also said to be higher compared to a few famous celebrities such as Rain, Jang Dong Gun, Eric Mun, and Kim Hee Seon.
But many people doubt that BoA can reach that fantastic number. "Its hard to believe, I know she's very rich. But the number of 40 million US dollars is just too much. Whereas, her songs this year didn't do so good, Even her latest album, OUTGROW, although in the first week it reached the top position in the Oricon Charts, but it couldn't hold out in the next weeks. The Singapore Media which released that issue clarify, "We got the data based on the income in the entertainment world. If its sum upped from the whole income, of course Bae Yong Jun from the entertainment world and business at the same time, the most favourtied actor in Japan, can't be beaten. Especially, Bae Yong Jun is the investor in a few company. The value of the investation? It reached 110 billion won or equal to 119 million US dollars !!
Not only the income of Bae Yong Jun that estimated cannot be compared to BoA's. Celebrity that got the attention from America in the past one year, Rain, said to be more suitable to be said as the highest income celebrity. The organizer of Rain world tour, Star M, said that they can get hundreds million dollars from the concert that will be started at the end of this year. "This world tour will note the income estimated about 106 billion won or 113 million US dollars. We estimated 56 billion won (59 million US dollars) is the result of the ticket sales, and the rest is the result of the sales of DVD and merchandise, than the others," they said. That's not including the income from movies, albums and adverts/commercials. So, its reasonable that Rain will get the title of the highest income-Korean celebritiy.
