RAIN, red carpet challenge in Cannes!

International singer RAIN, will soon accept the challenge to become an international actor.

"I'm Cyborg but that's okay" starring by Jeong Jihun (RAIN) and Lim Soojung, directed by Park Chan-woo may have the chance to attend Festival de Cannes held in May 2007. The person in charge of CJ Entertainment announced, "I'm Cyborg is going to participate international movie festivals in overseas..." CJ Entertainment is the investor cum distributor of this movie.

Director Park won "Grand prize for the Jury" in 2004 with his movie "Old Boy". There are three major international movie festivals, Festival de Cannes is one of them.

Using mental hospital as backgrond, "I'm Cyborg" is telling a love story in its very unique way. It is another artwork by director Park after a series of revenge movies such as "Old Boy", "Lady of Revenge".

With the reputation of director Park, as well as the uniqueness and box office of "I'm Cyborg", there's high chance that this movie will be inivited by Festival de Cannes to join the award competition.

On the other hand, if this movie is invited, Rain the male lead may step on its red carpet and he will be another focus by then.

Rain started to gain the concerns from USA media after his "Rainy Day" concert at Madison Square Garden, New York. As a singer, he was selected by TIME magazine as 'The 100 Most Influential People".
