Korean Air president Cho Yang Ho said the decision was aimed at promoting Korean culture internationally.
In addition, the carrier will be providing complimentary flights for the singer and his stage equipment.
Korean Air, which has previously supported the 24-year-old Seoul native’s international promotional activities, has also rendered support to other Korean stars like auntie-killer Bae Yong Joon and baseball player Lee Seung Yeop.
Rain’s Coming 06/07 World Tour, said to be the largest for a Korean artiste spanning six months, started yesterday in Las Vegas. It will take place in 17 cities through 11 countries including the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Malaysia with a total of 35 performances.
The singer-actor is set to donate parts of the proceeds to World Vision in aid of Asia’s young AIDS victims.
